Description
Machine Throat Reamers feature a removable pilot. They increase the length of the barrel throat. Machine Throat Reamers can be used conventionally with a lathe, or with a T-Handle which allows operations on a barrel while assembled to the action/stock. All throating reamers come with a standard bushing sized for intended bore. Standard material for all Reamers is HSS (High Speed Steel). Spiral fluting is recommended for 5R barrels.
NOTE: All PTG Reamers and Cutting Tools are designed to work with petroleum-based lubricant. Water-based lubricant can give acceptable results, however the life of the tool will be reduced. For best results use petroleum-based lubricant.
