Description

The PTG Blueprinting Reamer and Tap (sold separately) are used with precision ground pilot bushings in a bolt action receiver to ensure concentricity with the bolt raceway. The reamer cuts the minor diameter of the threads and the locking lugs and the tap will cut the threads. If the threads are oversized, a factory barrel will not fit and new barrel threads must be cut to match. These tools can be also used to convert many metric actions, including Howa and Sako, to an inch-thread. Converting to an inch-thread allows these fine actions to be rebarreled using most lathes. 1/2" diameter pilot.

This is the only tap used with Straight Bushings that are equal to Single Point Thread. Why Spend 2-3 hours to set up a fixture in a lathe and single point when our Piloted Tap Mandrel is guaranteed to be the same precision. TiN Coated.
